Construction Manager
Salary: $200,000 - $230,000 plus vehicle and package
About the Role
This is a pivotal senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager. Reporting to the Branch Manager and working in close collaboration with the Works Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the planning, delivery, and commercial performance of major civil projects. You’ll provide strategic and technical guidance to a team of Project Managers, Engineers, and Quantity Surveyors while promoting a culture of ownership and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee the development and execution of project programmes, budgets, and plans
Optimise project performance through robust commercial and contractual management

Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 15 years’ experience in civil construction, with proven leadership on large-scale projects

Reporting to either the Operations Manager or a Senior Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed project plans including scope, scheduling, and resource allocation
Manage on-site teams including site supervisors, subcontractors, and engineers
Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
Track budgets and monitor project costs, identifying efficiencies where possible
Perform routine quality checks to ensure compliance with project specs

Skills & Experience Required
Degree in Civil Engineering (Washington Accord-accredited) or equivalent experience

New Business Engineer
Salary:$ 80,000 - $100,000 + package
Location: AucklandRole:
The New Business Engineer (NBE) works with inhouse pile designers to complete estimates and tender/quotation documents for our clients. To achieve this the NBE must liaise with multiple parties including our clients, their structural engineers, geotechnical engineers, QS/PM representatives, subcontractors, suppliers and main contractors, as well as our own team of foreman, site engineers and contracts managers. You will pull together all these parties to win contracts for the company.
Key Responsibilities
· Cost estimates based on the drawings, designs and geotechnical information
· Clear feasibility assessments, budgets, and quotations that clearly communicate the scope of work, clarifications and contractual details
· Assist the GM to produce financial modelling, estimates, tenders and proposals for potential opportunities
· Assist in contract negotiation
· Handover secured contracts to the operations team and support the project manager responsible for completing the job
· Research and understand industry/market trends
· Develop and maintain relationships with project partners and the wider industry, including presentations to consultants and contractors
· Assist with the continuous improvement of our processes, procedures and documentation as required
· Provide regular constructive feedback to operations and manager to help drive process improvements
· Positive interaction with all our team members, help where you can and celebrate the success of others
· Demonstrate best practice customer service and promote the brand in a way consistent with the company’s mission, strategy and values
· Follow all protocols around health and safety within the workplace, ensuring compliance with company guidelines
· Strive to meet targets any agreed KPI’s
· Any other tasks reasonably required to complete business operations.
Key Skills and Attributes

· Note:
o An engineering background is preferred (Bachelor of Engineering, Civil - or related qualification) as the importance of understanding both geotechnical engineering and structural engineering concepts play a key part in working with our clients.
o Onsite experience (preferably piling, or Main Contractor working with piling subcontractors) is important; understanding the process of how our plant and people will work onsite at the concept stage to make appropriate allowances.
